What it won’t do

• Workplace leave only. Recharge has no access to flights, hotels or travel, so “book a holiday” means submit leave.
• No self-approval. If you’re a manager, another manager has to approve your request.
• Your role is read from your Recharge membership on every call, not taken from what the assistant claims.
• Every write, from chat or the dashboard, goes into the same audit log with who did it and when.

What is MCP?

Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets an AI assistant call tools in another app on your behalf. Connect Recharge once, sign in with your normal login, and the assistant can look up your balance or submit a request the way you would in the dashboard.

Do I need a paid AI plan?

That depends on your AI provider, not on Recharge. Whether your plan can add custom connectors is set on their side, so check it there.

Can the assistant see other people’s leave?

Only what you can already see in the dashboard. Regular team members get their own leave. Managers also get team summaries and requests. Nothing outside your organisation is reachable.

What if it picks the wrong date?

A booked request is a normal Recharge request, so you can edit or cancel it from the dashboard or by asking the assistant. It also shows up in the audit log.
